it’s not the most natural ginger as it’s been pulverised and processed but it does the job and doesn’t break the bank. good value for the portion but there is better alternatives out there but when you’re on a budget this is great. tastes like real ginger and consistency is good

I use quite a bit of ginger in my cooking so I always like to have some freshly minced in the fridge, and this Woolworths Crushed Ginger allows me to do that at a reasonable price and without having to go to the trouble of cutting up and mincing it myself. The taste is great and it keeps for a while. I did, however, recently have to throw out part of a jar due to mould developing.

I always have a jar of crushed ginger in the fridge, and it’s usually Woolies brand, as it is very good value for money. I find it much more convenient for quick addition to many recipes than preparing and cooking with ginger root. Some people would say crushed jar ginger is not as flavourful as the fresh kind, but I don’t think that is necessarily the case, and prefer the ease of use of the crushed variety. I also think the crushed variety makes it easier to distribute the tasty flavour throughout the dish.
