I love Vegemite. It was a staple in our house growing up and a staple in our house today. We always have a jar in the fridge. We love it on toast, muffins and crumpets. We love the taste, it is unique to other similar brands. Our only complaint is that it is a bit expensive these days, we only buy the smaller jar for the two of us. We did make the most of the Cole’s special recently and brought the bigger 380g jar this time round.

Vegemite’s one of those love-it-or-learn-to-love-it Aussie staples. Salty, bold, and best enjoyed thinly spread on hot, buttery toast (seriously—don’t overdo it). It’s not trying to be sweet or subtle, and that’s kind of the charm. Add cheese if you’re fancy, but even on its own, it hits that nostalgic, savoury spot just right.

Vegemite the great Australian spread. Has multiple vitamins which makes a great additive for the kids sandwiches. Great with cheese on a sandwich. Not everyone likes the taste. I grew up with it, so love it. You only need a small amount to spread with the bold flavor so a jar can last a while.
