A bit disappointing this time. Some oranges were dry inside and lacked sweetness. The skin looked fine, but the flavour was flat and slightly bitter. I’ve had better batches before, so maybe just bad timing. Hopefully future stock is juicier and more consistent in taste and quality.

Out of all the different varieties of oranges the Navel Oranges are my favourite. They are easy to peel, seedless, so deliciously sweet and a good source of Vitamin C.

These navel oranges are super sweet but occasionally you do come across ones that aren’t of equivalent sweetness. The health benefits of oranges is that they are high in vitamin C and fibre, the downside being that they also contain carbohydrates which can raise one’s blood sugar levels. Moderation is key to eating the oranges whole and not juicing them.
