This is the only butter we buy. Granted it is a bit expensive but it doesn’t have a whole lot of nasties in its ingredients list (about 3 items) making it a very ‘clean’ food product. It is how the name suggests reasonably soft and relatively easy to spread, not like some other butter brands where you need a chisel to pry any off the slab. We find if you think it’s going to be a bit hard straight out of the fridge, get it out first, pop it on the bench, by the time you are ready to use it, it’s ready to spread beautifully in only a few minutes. You are not going to tear through your fresh bread. We prefer the salt reduced version for obvious reasons. It’s also great to cook and bake with.
