I grabbed some Australian avocados recently and they were really good—nice and creamy with a fresh, clean flavour that works perfectly on toast or in salads. They tend to be pretty reliable in quality, but the ripening can be a bit tricky, going from firm to overripe faster than expected, and sometimes they’re a little pricey. Still, when you get them at the right stage, they’re absolutely worth it and taste better than most alternatives.
