Royal gala apples are one of the more affordable options so I like to buy them. They have a good mild sweet taste, and are juicy enough for things like apple desserts

These apples are mildly sweet, having very low acidity or tartness. They usually are bright red with yellow orange stripes. Price is reasonable and usually they cost less than high end varieties.

Crisp, juicy and naturally sweet with a mild, slightly floral flavour. Easy to eat and great for everyday snacking or lunchboxes, though they’re not very tart and can be a bit mild compared to stronger apple varieties.

royal gala every time. I’ve tasted other red apples but royal gala have a great texture to them. I love them also sliced up thinly into salads or in a smoothie. but great just on their own.
