Royal gala apples are one of my top favourite apple varieties along with Ambrosia, Pink Lady and Smitten. It’a sweet and crunchy without that weird Red Delicious apple texture. It’s one of the more affordably priced apples that are available in store most of the year. I’ve recently started adding apples into my lunch salads, which adds a slight sweetness to an otherwise boring leafy salad mix.
