these tip top fruit and spice muffins weren’t very nice, had a musty smell to them even though they were well in date and they were quite flat tasting

Highly recommebd it for breakfast. when heated up, it goes very well with butter, jam or ricotta and honey. It is very soft when warm and tasty. Actually the taste reminds me of hot cross buns.. They are usually a bit pricy but you can wait for the sale. I usually by few packs on sale and I freeze them.

this fruit muffin is a good variation to the traditional English muffin. I like the sweetness the raisins give to the muffins. with lashings of butter and a bit of honey you are in heaven, but if you are craving raisin toast. I suggest just get raisin toast.
