Shepard avocados are a great choice, offering a milder flavor and firmer texture than Hass. Pros: slow browning, ideal for garnishes, and sweet undertones. Cons: may ripen quickly, softer texture. Nutritious.

The avocados are small to medium sized. The seeds are not too big compared to the size, so I am getting more avocado. It is suitable for toast, guacamole etc.

The Shepard 5-pack is a good option if you prefer a milder, nutty-flavored avocado. The skin stays green when ripe, and the flesh is firmer than the more common Hass variety, which makes them ideal for slicing in salads or on sandwiches as they hold their shape and don't brown as quickly. However, some find their texture to be "rubbery" and less creamy than Hass, which can be a disappointment for fans of smashed avocado or guacamole.

great to have on hand the only annoying thing is when they ripen all at once. if you want to make bulk food or even a dip they are great!
