Photo Review of Hills Folding Frame Clothesline Post Kit
We paired the Hills Folding Frame Clothesline Post Kit with the Hills single folding line, and together they make an unbeatable combo. The post kit itself is just as well-built as you'd expect from Hills – thick galvanised steel, clean welds, and a snug fit for the folding frame. No rattling, no leaning, even under heavy loads. A few critical tips from our experience (don't skip these): · Buy a bag of cement – this post needs to be set in concrete to be truly sturdy. Don't just backfill with dirt. · Hire a professional to install it unless you're very confident with digging, mixing, and levelling. A pro will get the depth, plumb line, and concrete mix ratio right the first time. · Check the height for the shortest adult in your family before the concrete sets. Our lines are perfect for me (tall), but my mum has to reach up a bit – we should have lowered it by 5–10cm. Learn from us! · Don't use it for a week after installing. Let the cement cure fully. We waited seven days, and now the post is absolutely immovable. Once properly installed, this post kit is bombproof. It holds the folding frame securely, folds away easily, and doesn't rust or wobble. If you want a clothesline that stays put for decades, spend the extra on the Hills post kit – and follow the advice above. Highly recommended.
