These sliced mushrooms from Woolworths are convenient, tasty, and easy to cook. I like how these mushrooms cook in just a few minutes in a pan, and taste great in pastas, stirfries, curries, or an omelette. These are versatile and tasty! And because they come conveniently already sliced, they make cooking easy and less hassle. I also love that these are grown in Australia, so you can trust in their quality. Altogether, a tasty, versatile and convenient buy. 5 stars!

The mushrooms are already sliced, so they save time when making pasta, omelette, pizza, curry, or stir-fry. Most 200 g packs contain fresh button or swiss brown mushrooms with mild earthy flavour and soft texture when cooked. Can spoil faster once opened

Positives 1. Very low calories • Around 20 kcal per 100 g, so a 200 g pack is roughly 40 calories. • Good for weight control or low-calorie diets. 2. Low fat and low sodium • About 0.4 g fat and ~9 mg sodium per 100 g. • Heart-friendly food. 3. Good source of vitamins • Contains B vitamins (riboflavin, niacin, folate) that help produce energy and support brain health. 4. Contains minerals • Provides selenium, potassium, copper, and phosphorus important for immunity and metabolism. 5. Dietary fibre • Has fibre like beta-glucans, which may support gut health and cholesterol control. 6. Very versatile • Easy to cook in stir-fry, omelette, pasta, pizza, soups, or salads. 7. Pre-sliced convenience • Already sliced, so saves preparation time. ⸻ ❌ Negatives 1. Short shelf life • Sliced mushrooms spoil faster than whole mushrooms and can become slimy within a few days if not used quickly. 2. Can brown quickly • Once sliced and exposed to air, they may turn darker or look less fresh. 3. Low protein • Only about 2–2.3 g protein per 100 g, so not a strong protein source. 4. Water content is high • Mushrooms contain a lot of water, so they shrink a lot when cooked. 5. Possible contamination risk • Pre-sliced vegetables can have slightly higher bacterial exposure because they are processed and handled more
