National pies are very popular where I am from in Tasmania as they are a locally recognised pie. They are sold at most supermarkets and takeaway shops alike. The beef pie is the most common and known one and is very nice. It is a nice rectangle shaped pie filled with beef mince that is saucey and juicey. It pairs very well with tomato sauce also. The pastry is firm and flaky but probably just the right texture, it doesn’t have much taste but goes well with the beef pie mix. They are perfect for a quick lunch. 5 stars!
