Small, square, and stubbornly powerful—the 9V battery is the unsung hero of smoke alarms, guitar pedals, and random gadgets you forgot even needed juice. It’s compact, packs a punch, and somehow manages to last just long enough to make you think it’s immortal… until it dies at 2am and sets off the smoke alarm.
