I grabbed this loaf because I wanted a simple, everyday bread that the whole family could eat without complaints. Honestly, it does exactly that. It’s soft and easy to slice, which makes it perfect for sandwiches, toast, or even little lunchbox snacks for Milo. The flavour is pretty mild… nothing fancy, but that’s kind of the point. If you’re used to more “artisan” wholemeal breads, this might feel a little plain, but it’s soft, doesn’t crumble all over the place, and to me, that’s worth it for the price. One thing to note: it doesn’t have that nutty, hearty flavour some wholemeal breads have, but for a quick sandwich or a kid-friendly lunch, it’s totally fine. I keep it on hand as a reliable, budget-friendly option.

I’ve been buying the Coles Soft Wholemeal Sandwich Loaf every week and it’s honestly one of the best value breads around. The slices are nice and soft but still hold together well perfect for school lunches, toast, or a quick sandwich. It has a really pleasant wholemeal flavour without being heavy or dry like some other wholemeal breads. Toasts evenly and tastes great with both sweet and savoury toppings. Fresh, affordable and reliable definitely a staple in our house!

This bread tastes okay, but I found it very annoying when using butter on it because it would easily tear and break. I can't imagine this would be good for sandwiches as it's advertised because I think I would just fall apart when anything moist is added. It's a light, airy bread and doesn't really offer anything substantial to keep you feeling full.
