Looked fresh in the pack but turned out watery and bland once opened. The texture was mushy near the rind, almost like it had been sitting too long. Not much flavour or sweetness at all. I’ll stick to buying a whole watermelon next time for better freshness and value.

Watermelon is a great refreshing snack but also great in juices, smoothies and cocktails! Seedless watermelon does not contain real watermelon seeds which are large, black and glossy but can contain smaller white infertile seed casings. These seed casings are soft and edible. A cut portion of watermelon is best stored in the refrigerator.
