You can't make chicken and corn soup without this baby. or corn fritters. Versatile and delicious, this creamed corn is wonderful in both sweet and savoury dishes. it is wonderful in a sweet corn bread. it's perfect when mixed with a can of sweet corn in your recipes you get the best of both textures, I highly recommend. mix with salt & pepper. for the chicken & corn soup recipe: boil the bones of a stripped bbq chicken, add a carrot, 2 celery sticks. once that's done (about 30-40mins) take the bones out and separate any meat from bones. yeah it's a finicky job but it's a great money saver. leave out the celery & carrot. add chicken back, add CREAMED CORN, sweet corn kernels Chinese 5 spice (1 TSP) 1 lt of chicken or veg stock, a heaped TSP ginger & a heaped TSP garlic, a cup of chopped spring onions, salt & pepper to taste. let that do it's thing for about 20 mins max. throw in more chicken from your bbq chook for protein and to be more filling. you could swap for potato if you're out. I never waste the bones of a bbq chook, we love soup! except the gross stuffing, because... ew
