Based on recent, albeit limited, product data and broader Salada brand feedback, here is an overview of the Arnott’s Salada Wholemeal Crackers (250g): Product Overview Description: A wholemeal variant of the classic Australian crispy, thin, baked cracker, generally used for lunches or snacking with toppings. Key Features: Made with Australian wheat, no artificial colours or flavours, and usually packed in protective foil for freshness. Price Range: Typically priced around AUD 3.00 - 4.20 per 250g pack, though often found on promotion. User Feedback & Reputation Positives: Users generally appreciate the versatility of Salada crackers as a base for cheese, Vegemite, or dip. The wholemeal version is appreciated for adding a slightly nuttier, wholesome flavour compared to the original. Negatives/Concerns: Fragility: Some customers report that the crackers are very brittle and often arrive broken or break easily when spreading toppings. Texture/Taste Changes: Some long-term consumers have expressed disappointment in recent years, describing them as thinner or less salty than they remember, and sometimes feeling "stale" or "hard". Nutritional Note: They are relatively low in fat (approx. 1.8g - 2.6g per serving). Best Usage Excellent as a light, crunchy, high-fibre snack. Ideal paired with butter, cheddar cheese, tomato, or avocado. Used in "Christmas Crack" recipes. Verdict: A reliable, iconic staple for many, though some users find the current, thinner formula too fragile compared to the traditional version.
