Fine desiccated coconut is the best type I feel compared to shredded or chunks. It’s light, convenient and offers a variety of uses. McKenzies is always my first pick as they are a well known and respected brand. I purchased this one today to make truffles with as I mostly use it for baking but you can also use it for decoration and with drinks or on breakfasts like cereals and pancakes. The options are flexible I find. The bag does say reusable and is but I find it’s not the best sealing so I often place into a container or use a peg to ensure it remains fresh. Regardless 5 stars for coconut.

I used this to make kid friendly coconut chocolate balls for Christmas. one can condensed milk one pack Arnotts Marie biscuit crushed one cup desiccated coconut and 1/4 cup extra desiccated coconut to roll the coconut balls 1/4 cup cocoa powder mix altogether and roll into small balls and roll them into the excess desiccated coconut
