Crumpets for breakfast are so good. Seven minutes in the toaster to get them a little bit crunchy, then plenty of butter and, while you can have anything on them you like, for me, it’s got to be Golden Syrup. They will go mouldy in warm humid weather so if you are keeping them beyond a couple of days, it is recommended to store them in the fridge. You don’t want them going mouldy and wasting them. You can buy crumpets at half price almost every week at one of the major supermarkets. Of course, this is the best way to buy them.
