Review of Smith's Baked Potato Chips Margherita 130g

I’ve been on a bit of a health kick lately (or trying to be), so I grabbed a pack of Smith’s Oven Baked Potato Chips thinking they’d be a lighter, guilt-free alternative to regular chips. Here’s how it went: Taste & Crunch: Honestly, not bad at all. I went for the Sea Salt flavor first—it’s simple but satisfying. They’re super crispy, but not in the usual fried-chip way. The texture is more “crunchy cracker” than “classic chip,” if that makes sense. It took me a couple of bites to get used to, but I didn’t mind it. Flavors: I’ve since tried the Sour Cream & Chives and Salt & Vinegar ones too. The Sour Cream is probably my favorite—creamy and herby, without being too strong. The Salt & Vinegar had a decent kick, but not as bold as I’d hoped (if you love that eye-watering vinegar punch, it might fall short). Health Factor: They’re marketed as 50% less fat than regular chips, and you can kinda tell. They’re lighter, and I didn’t feel gross after eating a whole bag (which happens more than I’d like to admit). Calories are pretty low too, so they’ve become a go-to when I want a snack without the guilt. Downsides: Some people might find them a bit dry or not as “potato-y” as traditional chips. And the bags in the multipacks are a bit small, but that’s standard. Would I Buy Again? Definitely. Not as indulgent as fried chips, but a solid, tasty alternative when I want to snack smarter. I keep a few packs in my work drawer now.
