I like Rosella Condensed Tomato Soup 390g for its lovely rich tomato taste and in the environmentally friendly paper carton container. It is not bitter at all. Made with real tomatoes, it is so good that I could eat it by the bowl. Great for a cold winter morning breakfast. I won't be buying any other brand in future.

Best thinned with water or milk-goes well with toast or cheese. Not subtle, but comforting. VWorks solo or as a base for pasta sauce or shepherd's pie.

Rich, full flavoured soup, reminiscent of my childhood. It needs to be combined with water or milk, my preference is milk. My favourite serving idea is with croutons or crusty buttered bread, but we use this all year round as a base for pasta dishes. Easy to open. carton so you'll need a spoon to scrape it all out. Reliable brand but unfortunately now made in Italy.
