✅ What’s good 1. Strong, rich flavour Because it’s triple concentrate, the tomato taste is intense. It adds good depth and richness to sauces, stews, pastas etc. Users say it “adds a richness to my pasta sauce” and “enhances the tomato taste of my pasta dishes” well.  2. Simple & clean ingredients Mostly tomato concentrate (~99%) plus salt. No artificial colours or flavours, no added preservatives in many versions.  3. Australian grown / local product Tomatoes used are Australian‐grown, made locally. For many people this adds trust & freshness & supports local agriculture.  4. Versatile & convenient format Comes in multiple sizes / formats: tub, jar, sachet, squeeze bottle. Useful depending on how much you use & how often. The tub is fairly easy to scoop from; sachets help with portion control; squeeze bottle is handy.  5. Good “Health Star Rating” / nutritional claims Many versions have favourable ratings. No artificial flavours / colours, halal certified, suitable for vegans/vegetarians.  ⸻ ⚠ What to watch out for / downsides 1. High sodium content Because there is salt added, and being concentrated, the sodium per 100 g is significant — might be an issue if you’re limiting salt.  2. Natural sugars become more concentrated While no (or minimal) added sugar, the natural sugars in tomatoes become more concentrated in triple concentrate paste. So sweetness might be more noticeable. Not necessarily bad, but could affect flavour balance.  3. Strong flavour needs careful dosing Because flavour is intense, it’s easy to overdo. Might overpower more delicate herbs/spices if too much is used. Probably less forgiving than a milder paste or fresh tomato in recipes. 4. Storage / spoilage after opening Once open, because of concentration and the product being relatively pasty, exposed to air it can dry out, oxidise or change flavour. Needs to be sealed properly / refrigerated. Some packaging may not preserve it as well.  5. Texture / handling In some formats (tub, jar) you might get thick “skin” on top when stored; or difficulty scooping if it sets somewhat. Also, some people prefer squeeze or sachets to avoid mess/spoilage. 6. Cost per use might vary Because of different formats, packaging, etc. If you only use small amounts infrequently, a large tub or jar might expire or degrade before use. Squeezed or sachet versions help, but may cost a bit more per gram.
