I tried Essentials Traditional Pasta Sauce and it was simple but decent for the price. The texture is smooth and it coats pasta well, though it’s on the thinner side compared to premium brands. The flavour is tomato-forward with a bit of sweetness, but not a lot of depth, so I found it worked better when I added extras like garlic, herbs, or some vegetables. On its own it’s a basic, budget-friendly sauce that does the job for a quick meal, especially if you don’t mind dressing it up a little.
