Most of the people are confused whether buy raw sugar or white sugar. Raw sugar is less refined, so it keeps a small amount of natural molasses. White sugar is heavily refined, with the molasses completely removed. In terms of the nutrient content, raw sugar contains trace amounts of minerals (like calcium, iron, potassium, magnesium) from molasses, while white sugar has almost none of these. But the amounts in raw sugar are tiny—not enough to make a real nutritional difference.
