Powerade ION4 Gold Rush is a mango flavoured isotonic sports drink designed to rapidly hydrate and replenish key electrolytes sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium lost during intense physical activity. Its sweet, fruity taste is well liked and the formula provides a quick energy boost with around 34–35g of sugar per 600mL bottle, making it ideal for workouts over 60 minutes or high heat conditions. However, it’s high in sugar and contains artificial colours and flavours, which may not suit those watching their sugar intake or seeking more natural options. While effective for athletes or heavy sweaters, it’s not necessary for light exercise or everyday hydration and is relatively expensive compared to water or homemade alternatives.
