As a certified 'Cat Lady' (I prefer the term 'Cat Woman' FYI), I've tried alot of different cat/kitten/pet foods on the market, both wet and dry. Of all the dry foods available at our local grocery store, Purina Friskies would have to be my favourite. Obviously, prescription dry foods or more superior brands such as 'Optimum' or 'Advance' would be ideal, however the price tag attached isn't always attainable. For the size, quality & price point, I think Purina Friskies is a decent choice. Our family includes 5 cats, and as mentioned above, I've tried quite a few different brands of dry food on the market. I keep coming back to Purina Friskies, as our cats seem to prefer this brand. As you cannot change your pets wet food at the drop of a hat, I appreciate that Purina offers a variety of different flavours within their dry food range, distinguishable by the eye catching colour of the packaging- think 'yellow' for cheese flavoured, 'blue' for tuna, 'green' for chicken, etc. Purina also offers a dry food that is kitten specific- this 'pink' coloured bag of dry food contains thinner pieces of kibble, perfect for little kitten teeth and mouths. Finally, the resealable, snap lock bags are great for keeping the dry food within, fresh and crunchy. Perfect for families with just one or two cats, where a bag can last quite a while (unfortunately not our family).
