we have a small dog, but normally just buy standard dog food. bought this one especially to go into an Arlec automatic pet feeder for while we were away for a couple of days. the smaller pieces were perfect, the feeder worked perfectly too, and we came home to a well fed & happy dog. we are considering switching to using this food all the time.
