The main thing you notice with Arborio rice is the texture. It has a creamy, slightly chewy texture rather than fluffy like jasmine or basmati rice. The flavour itself is quite mild and a bit starchy, but it absorbs flavour really well from stock, butter, cheese, or sauces.

This Arborio rice really cooks well and quickly. I find it excellent value for money and it isn’t too starchy. It’s ideal for use in risottos or in other dishes. it keeps well in a dry place such as the pantry.
