A classic freezer essential for a quick, filling meal. Pros: The pastry holds up remarkably well without getting soggy, and there is a generous amount of gravy and meat filling. It's a great value-for-money option compared to buying individual pies. Cons: They take a fair while to heat through in the oven if you want that perfect crunch, so you have to plan ahead.

We really enjoyed the generic version of these meat pies. They were tasty, with a good filling of meat & gravy. They baked well in the oven, leaving a nice crust. Perfect for lunch with a side chips & greens.
