What is John West tuna in olive oil on special at IGA. Absolutely love it. The oil is so pure and fresh. And so is the tuna. Great for tuna salad sandwiches.

good quality tuna. olive oil can be eaten on its own, on biscuits or add to a meal, rice, pasta etc.

Tuna in oil is tasty and healthy. It is softer, juicier, and less dry if the tuna makes with oils. It Often tastes richer. That’s why many people prefer it for sandwiches and pasta. However, the tuna in oil is Higher calories, around 2–3x more fat than tuna in water. Therefore, it is not suggested if you’re trying to lose weight or tracking calories.

Not bad quality; there are flakes, but also has a ‘mushy’ texture. The oil is thick & requires draining. The flavour is nice & palatable.
