Back when I was a kid, if you bought a lettuce it was an iceberg lettuce. There simply wasn’t anything else. These days there are so many different varieties but I still really prefer the good old iceberg and this was a great example of one. The leaves were nice and large and super fresh and crunchy. It was the start of a great but simple salad.
