These brown onions is a good purchase for general cooking purposes, well known for their strong, pungent flavor when raw and a mellow, nutty sweetness when cooked. They are versatile and commonly used in various dishes like curries, soups, stews, and sauces. I try to look for onions with dry, papery skin and firm flesh, avoiding those with soft spots or sprouting.

Fresh, firm, and full of flavour! I used these brown onions to make a miso ramen soup base, and they added a wonderful depth and sweetness to the broth. The size and quality were great, with no soft spots, making them easy to prep and cook with. Definitely a pantry staple I’ll keep buying.
