True to its nature, this product really does balance/ reduce the oiliness of my skin (I have oily/ combination skin). Before using this, I would have to use 1-2 blotting papers in the evening if I wanted to go out at night and look presentable, and they would be completely soaked. I've only used this product for a few days now, but I can already see the difference: my forehead is noticeable less shiny (i.e. little to no shine) and the rest of my face is oil-free as well. I also started using this in combination with The Ordinary's salicylic acid product, and the two really help to reduce the look and redness of any pimples I have. On the downside, as I noticed with other reviewers, I started to get even more pimples around my chin and mouth, which is where I had trouble with pimples in the first place. I always thought it was hormonal or due to messy eating, but now I'm not so sure. The niacinamide has also potentially made my skin a little *too* dry, as I learned the hard way when I got some on my lips (it made me feel parched 24/7) and on the edge of my scalp (started to get flaky). Since it's only been a few days of use, I'll continue to see how it goes for me, but overall this product technically did do its job.
